Michael could get the majority of carries some weeks this season, especially early in the year with Thomas Rawls still getting healthy, the Seattle Times reports.
Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said Tuesday he does not have a preference for how the carries are split between Michael and Rawls. "We want the best guys to be out there and playing," Bevell said. "We have a lot of confidence in C-Mike, obviously we love what Thomas Rawls has done. You might see a couple guys rolling in there." Rawls is not expected to play preseason games, and it seems unlikely he would be given the majority of carries in Week 1 having not played at all. How long a shared backfield lasts is uncertain, though.
