Jones (ankle) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL media's transactions page.
Jones is back on the roster just in time for an intriguing opportunity Sunday in Philadelphia, as workhorse Alvin Kamara (knee) has been ruled out. While Mark Ingram is expected to get the starting nod in Kamara's absence, Jones is slated to work as his top backup ahead of special teams contributor Dwayne Washington. Jones averaged a respectable 4.1 yards per carry on 19 attempts in four games prior to injuring his ankle.
