Williams signed with the Steelers' practice squad Thursday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Williams failed to make the Steelers' initial 53-man roster Tuesday, but he's sticking around in Pittsburgh after signing with the team's practice squad Thursday. The UT Martin product played 186 special-teams snaps across 13 outings with the Steelers last season, so he could definitely be elevated to the active roster at some point this year.
