Kelley has slimmed down as he enters his second season in the league, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports. "I feel more explosive, faster, getting in and out of cuts a little better," Kelley noted.

Kelley cut his body fat from 18 percent last season to 13 percent currently, in large part due to a change of diet. The second-year back heads into training camp as the projected starter but could feel some pressure from rookie Samaje Perine. "It's hard not to say you don't feel some type of pressure when they bring another back in," Kelley said. "But it's the NFL, someone comes in every year to try and take your job." The undrafted back from 2016 is clearly no stranger to competition as he took over for starter Matt Jones halfway through last season. However, now on the other side of the coin, Kelley will look to solidify his role as starter, and his weight loss will certainly help the cause.
