The Ravens designated Edwards (knee) to return from the PUP list Wednesday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports.
The transaction allows Edwards to resume practicing as he works his way back from the torn ACL that forced him to miss the 2021 season. The Ravens will have a 21-day window during which Edwards can be evaluated from a return to the 53-man roster. In the absence of any setbacks, Edwards will have a chance to reclaim a key complementary role in Baltimore's backfield, which is currently led by J.K. Dobbins. It's unclear if Edwards has a chance to be available for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
