Washington is expected to start Sunday's contest against the Giants in New York, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Although Zach Zenner was able to emerge from the concussion protocol, Washington shouldn't have much trouble receiving touches in a backfield without the services of Theo Riddick (wrist) for a second straight game. The Giants have allowed at least 100 rushing yards to running backs in back-to-back contests, but those opponents boasted Le'Veon Bell and Ezekiel Elliott in the lead roles. More than likely, Washington will find the going tough against a defense that allowed 83.6 yards per game on the ground and nine touchdowns to RBs over the first 11 outings of the season.
