Fitzpatrick (groin) won't play in Sunday's game versus Detroit, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Fitzpatrick was injured in the 23-10 win over the Titans in Week 1. He didn't play in the 20-17 overtime loss to the Packers in Week 2, so he will be sidelined for a second consecutive contest. The veteran's next opportunity to get back on the field will come in Week 4 in Chicago. In the meantime, Andre Cisco is in line to make his second straight start.
