Carter rushed 11 times for 59 yards and caught two of three targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 25-6 loss to New England.
Carter and Ty Johnson (12 carries for 50 yards) split primary running back duties, with Tevin Coleman (five carries for 24 yards) mixing in. The rookie fourth-round pick is quickly ascending toward the top of New York's backfield depth chart, and Carter has shown some nice burst in the early going. On the other hand, the Jets are unlikely to abandon the committee approach and have produced only 20 points through two games, so it's tough to trust anybody in their offense heading into a Week 3 trip to Denver.
