Perine suffered a foot injury during Wednesday's practice, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Perine has been relatively productive to begin the preseason, as he totaled 18 carries for 46 yards and a touchdown across the Jets' first two exhibition games. The 2020 fourth-rounder appears to be in a good position to land a spot on the 53-man roster, but the severity of his injury isn't yet known.
