The Jets elevated Sanders from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Amanda Vogt of the team's official site reports.
Sanders will come up from the practice squad for the second week in a row to handle kicking duties for the Jets. Though Blake Grupe is signed to the 53-man roster, the Jets could eventually move on from him to open up a full-time spot for Sanders if he performs well enough to hold down the kicking job. In his team debut in last Sunday's win over the Titans, Sanders converted on both of his point-after tries and connected on field goals of 33, 51 and 52 yards while missing badly from 54 yards.
