Sheffield (undisclosed) reverted to the Jets' injured-reserve list Thursday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Sheffield was waived with an injury designation Wednesday and went unclaimed on waivers. The undrafted rookie will now either spend the 2026 campaign on injured reserve with the Jets or will eventually be let go with an injury settlement.
