The Chiefs cut Ealy from their practice squad Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Ealy, who has thus far spent the entire season on Kansas City's practice squad, is now slated to search for playing opportunities elsewhere following Tuesday's transaction. The 187-pounder received reps at both running back and wide receiver early in training camp, but he was later handed a six-game suspension in early October for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy.
