The Rams plan to waive Mevis on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Los Angeles has opted to move on from Mevis after he missed five of nine field-goal attempts through the team's first five contests, including a potential game-winning 48-yard attempt during Monday's 37-34 overtime loss to the Bills that ended up getting blocked. The Rams will sign Blake Grupe off the Jets' practice squad to replace Mevis as their kicker.
