Barkley (ankle/COVID-19 protocols) is back at the team facility Friday after his positive test for the virus was determined to be a false positive, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
There were early indications Barkley's result may have been a false positive after he landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, though coach Joe Judge said Thursday he didn't anticipate the tailback being available for Sunday's matchup with the Raiders. The 24-year-old should be activated from the COVID list now that he's back with the team, but it remains to be seen if his ankle is healthy enough for him to return to game action for the first time since Week 5. Devontae Booker should continue to work as New York's lead back should Barkley be unavailable this weekend.
