Barkley will back up starting quarterback Tommy DeVito this Sunday at Dallas, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Barkley could eventually make starts later this season, but the Giants will give DeVito the first look atop the depth chart after losing Daniel Jones (knee) to a season-ending injury. Tyrod Taylor (ribs) is on injured reserve and will miss at least three more games, leaving DeVito and the recently signed Barkley as the healthy quarterbacks on the roster.
