Rainey had five carries for 22 yards and six catches for 52 more in Sunday night's loss to the Packers.
It was an ugly day for the offense as a whole, but Rainey was effective as a runner and a receiver. He'll maintain his third-down role for the foreseeable future with Shane Vereen (triceps) out.
