Demercado was waived by the Chiefs on Sunday.
The Chiefs are starting the season with Kenneth Walker, Emmett Johnson and Brashard Smith as their running backs. Demercado will now head to waivers after averaging an impressive 7.1 yards per carry and posting a 13-101-1 receiving line across 13 regular-season games with the Cardinals in 2025.
