Epenesa (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
The decision comes as no surprise, given that Epenesa was listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest. He'll miss his first game of the season due to a back injury, and his next opportunity to play is Week 7 against the Cowboys on Monday, Oct. 26.
