The Panthers cut Williams from the practice squad Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Williams, who just joined the organization Thursday, will lose his practice-squad spot to veteran Ihmir Smith-Marsette. The wideout will now seek out another opportunity with a team looking to fortify its wide-receiver depth.
