The Vikings are set to sign Neal to a contract, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reported Tuesday.
Neal tried out with the Vikings on Tuesday. The running back was cut from the Saints' injured reserve Sept. 3 and has recovered from the hamstring injury that landed him on the list. The second-year player out of Kansas accumulated 57 rushes for 206 yards and a touchdown, alongside 17 receptions for 104 yards over 10 regular-season games with the Saints as a rookie.
