The Cowboys are cutting Mims, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Before linking up with the Cowboys in June, Mims was out of the NFL for nearly two full years, spending time with St. Louis and Dallas of the UFL in the meantime. He didn't make much of an impact through three preseason games (one catch for minus-1 yard on one target), and he now awaits another chance in pro football.
