Elliott carried 21 times for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Sunday's game against the Steelers. He also caught both of his targets for another 95 yards and a touchdown in the 35-30 win.
Elliott sparked the Cowboys to life in the first quarter when he caught a short pass from Dak Prescott and galloped 83 yards down the sideline for the longest touchdown of his young career. His flashy performance turned to heroics in the fourth quarter, as he plowed into the end zone from 14 yards out to put his team ahead with less than two minutes left before bursting 32 yards to pay dirt to seal the win after the Steelers answered with a score of their own. Elliott continues to thrive as the centerpiece of one of the most prolific offenses in the league and his career-high in scrimmage yards indicates no signs of wear or tear, despite the massive workload he has received in his rookie campaign. He will draw a matchup with a stout Baltimore front next week but there is little reason to believe he will not enjoy another productive outing.
