Mariota suffered a sprained MCL during the preseason, though it appears the injury is behind him heading into the Week 1 opener versus Philadelphia. The 32-year-old appeared in 11 regular-season games for the Commanders in 2025, throwing for 1,695 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions off 139-for-227 passing, adding 50 carries for 297 yards and one touchdown. Mariota currently sits at the No. 2 spot on the depth chart behind Jayden Daniels.
