Edwards-Helaire (ankle) declared himself "ready to go" for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Browns, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
The running back, who also noted that he's 100 percent healthy at this stage, is thus in line to head Kansas City's backfield in Week 1, backed up by Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon. Added context with regard to Edwards-Helaire's status will arrive later Wednesday, when the team reveals whether he was a full participant in its first official Week 1 practice.
