Gordon (knee) was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday afternoon.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Gordon will be evaluated by Dr. James Andrews before a procedure is finalized to repair the meniscus damage in the rookie's left knee. Gordon should have plenty of time to recover before training camp, but health isn't the only question mark in the wake of his highly disappointing campaign. While part of the problem was an injury-ravaged San Diego offensive line, Gordon also fumbled five times and didn't display good vision or elusiveness. On the bright side, Gordon's draft position all but assures that he'll have more chances to make an impression, and the Chargers should have an improved offensive line next year.
