The Giants released Berrios on Sunday, but the team intends to bring him back for Week 1 action, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Berrios was brought in by the Giants in the middle of the offseason program when a number of serious injuries beset the receiving corps. He ended up making it all the way to cut-down day before getting dismissed, but New York appears poised to add him back, whether it's on the active roster or practice squad, before the season opener.
