The Steelers signed Smith to the practice squad Monday.
The Steelers waived Smith during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver cleared waivers and has rejoined the Steelers on the practice squad. The 27-year-old participated in the first and last preseason games for the team, catching four of his five targets for 17 yards.
