Coach Rex Ryan said Thursday that Gillislee's injured hamstring is "a real concern," ESPN's Mike Rodak reports, while his availability for Sunday against Jacksonville is in jeopardy.
The LeSean McCoy-Gillislee script has certainly flipped in the last few days, as it looked like McCoy could have been the one in jeopardy after dislocating his thumb last week, which would have left Gillislee with a barrel full of carries against a weak opponent. Now Shady is practicing on a full basis, and Gillislee might not even play this week. Still, if Gillislee can get back out there in some fashion Friday, the Bills would definitely prefer to use him as McCoy's chief backup ahead of the other less qualified options.
