Mixon remains in the NFL's concussion protocol ahead of Wednesday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Mixon will need to clear the league's five-step protocol in order to be able to play Sunday against the Titans. If Mixon is unable to suit up this weekend, Samaje Perine would be on tap for an expanded role in the Cincinnati backfield.
