Byard recorded five tackles (five solo) during Monday's 27-24 loss versus the Vikings.
Byard picked up more or less where he left off last season, putting up good numbers despite a very slow-paced game in Week 1. He and the entire Bears defense project to see a lot of looks against the run when they travel to take on Detroit in Week 2.
