Byard picked off a pass while posting seven tackles in the Bears' 31-14 win over the Cowboys on Sunday.
Byard has averaged 4.5 tackles over Chicago's first two games before posting a strong performance against Dallas. Last year, the veteran posted at least six stops in all but three games. It's possible that Byard can build on this game and become a higher-floor IDP.
