The Bears selected Carter in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 226th overall.
Coming from the FCS ranks at Southern, Carter is a 311-pound guard who received a combine invite. He showed NFL-level athleticism with above-average results in his runs and jumps. Carter projects to be a backup interior lineman early in his career.
