Abdullah was released by the Vikings on Tuesday.
Abdullah was competing with Kene Nwangwu (knee) for the No. 3 running back role behind Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison. It looks like he ultimately got beat out for the job. The seventh-year running back suited up for 42 games with Minnesota over the previous three seasons.
