Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he's "hopeful" Pearsall (shoulder) will return to practice this week and be able to suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Raiders, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Pearsall is currently dealing with a shoulder injury, and he previously began training camp on the non-football injury list due to a hamstring issue. That's resulted in the rookie first-round pick missing a huge portion of valuable reps, including San Francisco's first two preseason games. With Brandon Aiyuk's hold-in still ongoing, it will be encouraging for Pearsall's prospects if he's indeed able to get back on the field soon and handle some preseason reps during Friday's road exhibition game against Las Vegas.
