Mostert (knee) announced Friday that he's been cleared to walk without the aid of crutches, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
It's an early milestone in the recovery process for Mostert, who underwent surgery Oct. 12 to address chipped cartilage in the meniscus of his left knee. Mostert is without a clear timeline to complete his rehab from the unique knee procedure, but he's already ruled himself out from playing again this season and is turning his focus to getting healthy for OTAs. Scheduled to become a free agent this spring, Mostert will likely need full medical clearance from doctors before any team offers him a contract.
