Gifford (groin) does not have a designation for Sunday's Week 9 tilt against the Raiders.
Gifford hurt his groin in Week 6 against Washington and didn't play in Week 7 versus Atlanta. However, San Francisco's Week 8 bye appears to have done him well, as the veteran linebacker returned to practice this week with an LP/LP/FP progression. Gifford has played primarily on special teams when healthy this season and will probably continue in that role against Las Vegas.
