Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he's "holding out hope" that Mitchell (concussion/knee) will be able to play Thursday against the Titans, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Mitchell has missed the last two games due to a concussion and a knee injury, but he'll apparently have a chance to return for Thursday's primetime matchup. His status will likely come into focus based on his participation in practice this week, but Jeff Wilson should handle the majority of the backfield duties if Mitchell remains out against Tennessee.
