  • Koa Peat PF | PHO

Suns' Koa Peat: Shut down for rest of Summer League

The Suns are shutting down Peat (rest) for the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League, per John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.

Peat wraps up a promising Las Vegas Summer League run, producing at least 12 points, six rebounds and two steals in each of his three appearances. The rookie first-rounder is set to compete with the likes of Haywood Highsmith and Ryan Dunn for a reserve role with the Suns during training camp.

  • Suns' Khaman Maluach: Won't play again this summer

The Suns are shutting down Maluach (rest) for the rest of the Las Vegas Summer League, per John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.

Maluach put together an encouraging Las Vegas Summer League run, scoring at least 15 points in four appearances while registering three double-doubles as well. The 2025 first-rounder is next set to battle with Oso Ighodaro for the top backup role at center behind Mark Williams during training camp.

  • Wizards' Seth Trimble: Pops for 24 points in SL loss

Trimble registered 24 points (8-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block over 27 minutes in Wednesday's 108-94 Summer League loss to the Clippers.

Trimble excelled despite the loss, posting a team-high 24 points while filling the stat sheet. The undrafted rookie entered the contest averaging 7.7 points on 31.6 percent shooting from the field and 14.3 percent from beyond the arc through his first three Summer League appearances, making Wednesday a notable step forward. Trimble signed with the Wizards on an Exhibit 10 contract and will continue competing for a roster spot through the remainder of Summer League and into training camp.

  • Clippers' Nick Martinelli: Excellent shooting display

Martinelli posted 19 points (8-9 FG, 3-3 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and two steals across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 108-94 Summer League win over the Wizards.

Martinelli missed just one of his nine shots from the floor, and this was his best performance of the current Summer League campaign. The former Northwestern standout is playing on a two-way deal but is making his presence felt, scoring in double digits in each of his four SL appearances thus far while averaging 14.0 points per game.

  • Kobe Sanders PF | LAC

Clippers' Kobe Sanders: Leads Clippers to victory

Sanders delivered 26 points (9-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, five assists and a steal across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 108-94 Summer League win over the Wizards.

Sanders saw his scoring numbers increase with each passing game in the Summer League, surpassing the 15-point threshold in the last two and scoring in double digits every time. A second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Sanders could use a strong showing in the Summer League to grab a rotation spot in 2026-27. He made 68 regular-season appearances as a rookie in 2025-26 while the Clippers dealt with numerous injuries, and the departure of Kawhi Leonard opens up plenty of opportunities.

  • Jamir Watkins SF | WAS

Wizards' Jamir Watkins: Doesn't play Wednesday

Watkins (knee) did not play in Wednesday's 108-94 Summer League loss to the Clippers.

Watkins remained sidelined for a third straight game due to a knee injury. The remainder of Washington's Summer League schedule has yet to be finalized, though the club is expected to play its next game Saturday against an opponent yet to be announced. It remains to be seen whether Watkins will suit up again in Las Vegas or remain sidelined for the rest of the competition.

  • Tamar Bates SG | UTA

Jazz's Tamar Bates: Paces Utah in SL loss

Bates tallied 16 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds over 21 minutes in Wednesday's Summer League loss to the Spurs.

Bates paced his team in scoring, reaching double figures for the first time this Summer League. The Missouri product signed a two-way contract with the Jazz this offseason after appearing in 13 games for the Grand Rapids Gold of the G League during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 19.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals in 33.2 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Darryn Peterson: Inefficient in SL loss

Peterson ended with 15 points (4-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block over 29 minutes in Wednesday's 94-82 Summer League loss to the Spurs.

After resting Monday, Peterson returned to action Wednesday but struggled to find his shot, finishing with his lowest scoring output of the summer. In his previous four appearances between the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas portions of the Summer League, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft had scored at least 20 points in each contest. Peterson figures to play a significant role from the outset of the 2026-27 regular season.

  • Spurs' Ja'Kobi Gillespie: Scores team-high 25 points

Gillespie recorded 25 points (10-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), a rebound, five assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 94-82 Summer League win over the Jazz.

Gillespie has been one of the standout performers for the Spurs during Summer League action. This was his fifth straight game scoring in double digits between the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League. This was also the fourth time over the last five outings in which he's recorded at least five assists.

  • Celtics' Chris Cenac: Double-double in SL win

Cenac contributed 10 points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 25 minutes in Wednesday's 82-76 Summer League win over the Kings.

Cenac came off the bench and dominated the glass, pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds as part of a double-double effort. The rookie big man has scored in double figures in three of his four Summer League appearances, with Wednesday marking his second double-double. Playing time could be difficult to come by during the 2026-27 campaign with Mitchell Robinson and Neemias Queta anchoring the center rotation, but Cenac is viewed as a promising long-term prospect.
