  • Max Strus SG | LAC

Clippers' Max Strus: Heads to locker room Sunday

Strus exited Sunday's preseason game against the Warriors due to an apparent right ankle injury, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.

Strus exited in the first quarter straight to the locker room, seemingly favoring his right foot or ankle. Keaton Wagler could see some extra run if Strus is unable to return.

  • Trey Alexander SG | UTA

Jazz's Trey Alexander: Not listed on injury report

Alexander (ribs) is not listed on the injury report for Sunday's preseason opener in Denver, Shreyas Laddha of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Alexander hurt his ribs at Summer League, but he's since recovered and will be available for Sunday's game. It's unclear if he'll be involved in the rotation, though.

  • Al Horford C | GS

    Warriors' Al Horford: Starting Sunday

Horford is in the starting lineup for Sunday's preseason matchup with the Clippers, Warriors' reporter Joseph Dycus reports.

Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is out indefinitely, so Horford could open the year as the Warriors' starting center. Joining him in the first unit for Sunday's exhibition will be Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg and Draymond Green.

  • Tyus Jones PG | DEN

    Nuggets' Tyus Jones: Starting Sunday

Jones will start in Sunday's preseason opener against the Jazz.

Jones will get the spot start with Jamal Murray (personal) unavailable, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Christian Braun, Cameron Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic. Jones can rack up the dimes and defensive stats when given the minutes, so he'll be someone to consider as a streamer whenever he gets the opportunity to fill in as a starter this season.

  • Spurs' Tobias Harris: Dealing with calf injury

Harris will not play in the preseason due to a left calf strain, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.

Harris sustained the injury to his calf during training camp and will be reevaluated after the preseason. The 34-year-old pro signed a two-year contract with the Spurs this offseason. He should be considered questionable for the regular-season opener on October 20.

  • Spencer Jones SF | DEN

Nuggets' Spencer Jones: Won't play Sunday

Jones (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's preseason game against the Jazz, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.

Jones tweaked his hamstring during training camp and did not practice Friday. According to Brendan Vogt of TheDNVR.com, head coach David Adelman said pregame that the goal is for the 25-year-old forward to be available for the regular-season opener against the Thunder on Oct. 22, so it wouldn't be surprising if he missed most, if not all, of the preseason.

  • Jamal Murray PG | DEN

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Ruled out for Sunday

Murray is out for Sunday's preseason opener against the Jazz due to personal reasons, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.

Murray is dealing with a personal matter, but it shouldn't affect his status for the regular-season opener. His next chance to play will come Tuesday in Utah. Tyus Jones should see an expanded role with Murray unavailable.

  • Josh Green SF | UTA

Jazz's Josh Green: Won't play in preseason opener

Green (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's preseason game against the Nuggets, Shreyas Laddha of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

The severity of the left knee issue is unknown, though Green will sit out Utah's preseason opener. His next chance to play in the preseason will come in Tuesday's rematch against Denver.

  • Jazz's Brice Sensabaugh: Ruled out for Sunday

Sensabaugh won't play in Sunday's preseason opener against the Nuggets due to a left hip injury, Shreyas Laddha of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Sensabaugh's absence from Sunday's exhibition seems largely precautionary. His next chance to play will come Tuesday in a rematch with the Nuggets.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Won't play Sunday

Filipowski is out for Sunday's preseason opener against the Nuggets due to a lower back issue, Shreyas Laddha of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Filipowski is dealing with a tight lower back, so he'll sit out Sunday's exhibition. His next chance to play will come in a rematch with the Nuggets on Tuesday.
