Anthony Edwards SG | MIN
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Nets 14 points with two blocks
Edwards notched 14 points (4-13 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two swats over 18 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason win over the Bucks.
Edwards was a bit rusty in his preseason debut, converting just one of his seven three-point attempts while also coughing up two turnovers, but he did a nice job of getting to the line and he was locked in on defense. Edwards was a top-15 player last season with averages of 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 3.4 triples, 1.4 steals and 0.8 swats per contest, and he could be even better coming into his age-25 season.

Kel'el Ware C | MIL
Bucks' Kel'el Ware: Double-doubles in preseason loss
Ware produced 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block across 24 minutes off the bench in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.
Ware didn't deliver his most efficient shooting performance in Milwaukee's preseason opener. However, the big man finished as the club's second-leading scorer and paced all players in rebounds. Ware nearly averaged a double-double with Miami in 2025-26 and shot 39.5 percent from beyond the arc on 3.0 three-point tries per contest. Entering his third year in the league, the 22-year-old is in a much more favorable situation and has an opportunity to take on a more sizable and consistent role than he had with the Heat.

Ty Jerome SG | MEM
Grizzlies' Ty Jerome: Dishes out five assists
Jerome registered 12 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five assists and one block across 15 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
Jerome started at point guard and did a good job running Memphis' offense, leading the team with five assists while reaching double figures on only eight shots. He committed three turnovers but otherwise made good use of his limited playing time before sitting out the second half. Jerome should have an opportunity to handle significant playmaking responsibilities in Memphis' backcourt, and it wouldn't be surprising if he's the Grizzlies' starting point guard once the 2026-27 regular season begins.

Jaylen Wells SG | MEM
Grizzlies' Jaylen Wells: Drains four threes Monday
Wells supplied 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt) and one steal across 17 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
All 12 of Wells' points came from beyond the arc, as he connected on four of six attempts from deep during his abbreviated outing. He didn't record a rebound or assist, but his perimeter shooting allowed him to make a significant offensive impact before his night ended. Wells started all 69 of his regular-season appearances in the 2025-26 campaign, and he'll look to maintain a prominent role on a Memphis roster featuring increased competition for minutes on the wing.
-
Cedric Coward SG | MEM
Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Stuffs stat sheet in preseason victory
Coward recorded nine points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 18 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
Coward drew the start and contributed across the board despite attempting only six shots. The wing's four assists were particularly encouraging, and he ranked tied for second among Memphis players in both rebounds and assists. Coward has generated plenty of fantasy interest heading into the campaign, and his ability to contribute without requiring significant offensive volume gives him multiple avenues toward fantasy relevance. He's in the mix to open the 2026-27 regular season in a starting role, and a solid showing in preseason will boost his case to crack the first unit.

Kingston Flemings PG | ATL
Hawks' Kingston Flemings: Decent output in spot start
Flemings registered 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-4 FT) and two assists across 25 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Flemings drew the start Monday due to the absence of CJ McCollum (nose) and logged the most minutes among Atlanta's starters, giving the rookie an extended opportunity in his preseason debut. He struggled with efficiency, committing three turnovers and recording just two assists, and his free-throw shooting was also subpar. However, Flemings is a candidate to see steady minutes off the bench in the Hawks' backcourt despite his rookie status, though his role throughout the remainder of the preseason will be worth monitoring.
-
Nickeil Alexander-Walker SG | ATL
Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Goes for 14 in preseason opener
Alexander-Walker supplied 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one steal across 16 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Alexander-Walker drew the start and was productive during his abbreviated stint on the hardwood, reaching 14 points on only nine field-goal attempts. The 28-year-old is coming off a breakout 2025-26 campaign in which he averaged 20.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, and he should remain an important piece of Atlanta's backcourt in 2026-27, even if his minutes are limited in preseason.
-
Corey Kispert SG | ATL
Hawks' Corey Kispert: Scores 19 points in preseason loss
Kispert contributed 19 points (7-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 20 minutes off the bench in Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Kispert made the most of his 20 minutes off the bench, led Atlanta in scoring, and also set a team high with four threes. The sharpshooter made the most of his limited workload, needing only 11 field-goal attempts to produce 19 points. Kispert's ability to stretch the floor should keep him firmly in Atlanta's rotation, though his fantasy value will depend on whether he can provide enough production outside of scoring and three-pointers.
-
Ron Holland SF | DET
Pistons' Ronald Holland: Drops 14 points in preseason opener
Holland registered 14 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-8 FT), four rebounds, one assist, five steals and two blocks in 24 minutes during Monday's 109-107 preseason win over the Suns.
Holland made his presence felt all over the court Monday night, leading Detroit in scoring while accounting for two of the team's seven swats and racking up a team-high five steals. This is a promising start to the preseason for the 21-year-old, who is eyeing a key role heading into the 2026-27 season following the offseason departures of Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart.
-
Cameron Boozer PF | MEM
Grizzlies' Cameron Boozer: Scores 11 points with four assists
Boozer tallied 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals over 18 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
Boozer had his minutes monitored in Memphis' first exhibition game, but he led his team in shot attempts and did a nice job playmaking out of the post. Boozer will be a fixture in Memphis' offense and should give AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson some serious competition for the Rookie of the Year award.
