  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Perfect from field

Gillespie finished with eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in 17 minutes during Monday's 109-107 preseason loss to Detroit.

Gillespie was efficient while operating with Phoenix's second unit and opened the second half alongside Luke Kennard and Jordan Goodwin. The 27-year-old should remain in the mix for backup point guard minutes after establishing himself as a reliable perimeter shooter last season.

  • Raptors' Trayce Jackson-Davis: Absent from practice

Correcting a previous report, Jackson-Davis (migraines) was absent from Tuesday's practice, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.

Jackson-Davis also missed Saturday's preseason opener against Miami, and it's unclear what's keeping him sidelined. His status will be worth monitoring ahead of Saturday's preseason matchup with the Clippers.

  • Scottie Barnes PF | TOR

Raptors' Scottie Barnes: Goes through practice

Barnes (knee) practiced Tuesday and remains fine after experiencing some soreness following Saturday's preseason loss to Miami, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.

Barnes bumped his knee during the opening minute of Saturday's contest but played through the remainder of the first half before being held out after halftime as a precaution. His participation in Tuesday's practice is another indication that the issue isn't expected to be a concern moving forward.

  • Dyson Daniels SG | ATL

Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Quiet in preseason opener

Daniels finished with six points (2-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-5 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes during Monday's preseason loss to the Grizzlies.

Daniels struggled from three-point range and the charity stripe before sitting out the second half along with most of Atlanta's starters. Despite the quiet opener, Daniels should continue filling a prominent two-way role for the Hawks this season.

  • Jalen Johnson SF | ATL

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Struggles with shot

Johnson recorded eight points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 18 minutes during Monday's preseason loss to Memphis.

Johnson struggled with his shot but was perfect from the charity stripe before Atlanta shut down most of its starters in the second half. The 24-year-old remains one of the Hawks' primary offensive options and should continue providing strong all-around production during the regular season.

  • Zuby Ejiofor PF | ATL

Hawks' Zuby Ejiofor: Gets extended run

Ejiofor recorded five points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes during Monday's preseason loss to Memphis.

Ejiofor didn't enter until the second half but received a decent look once Atlanta turned the game over to its reserves. The rookie remains buried in a crowded frontcourt and will likely need to impress during the preseason to carve out a role.

  • Jalen Wilson SF | ATL

Hawks' Jalen Wilson: Provides 12 off bench

Wilson finished with 12 points (3-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and one steal in 15 minutes during Monday's preseason loss to the Grizzlies.

Wilson did most of his damage late, knocking down a pair of threes as Atlanta's reserves attempted to close the gap in the fourth quarter. He faces considerable competition for wing minutes but made a solid first impression in the preseason opener.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Hits three in preseason opener

Okongwu finished with eight points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 14 minutes during Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to Memphis.

Okongwu started at center and knocked down one of his two attempts from beyond the arc. He should remain Atlanta's starting center this season and could provide a boost to his fantasy value if his expanded perimeter shooting carries into the regular season.

  • Grizzlies' Walter Clayton: Scores seven off bench

Clayton finished with seven points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and one rebound in 13 minutes during Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.

Clayton entered behind several of Memphis' other guards and committed two turnovers during his limited run. The second-year guard is battling for a roster spot and will need a strong preseason to separate himself in a crowded Memphis backcourt.

  • Jahmai Mashack SG | MEM

Grizzlies' Jahmai Mashack: Sees limited run

Mashack recorded two points (1-1 FG), one rebound and one assist in eight minutes during Monday's 132-123 preseason win over Atlanta.

Mashack didn't enter until later in the contest and saw significantly fewer minutes than Memphis' primary backcourt options. The second-year guard faces an uphill battle for consistent playing time in a crowded rotation.
