  • Julius Randle PF | BKN

Nets' Julius Randle: Heading to Brooklyn

The Timberwolves traded Randle and the No. 28 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to the Nets on Monday as part of a three-team deal with the Bulls, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Chicago received Nic Claxton (finger), while Minnesota acquired the 33rd overall pick in this year's draft.

Randle is heading to Brooklyn after spending the last two seasons in Minnesota. The 31-year-old appeared in 79 regular-season contests for the Timberwolves in 2025-26, averaging 21.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.2 blocks. Although Randle's days of averaging a double-double may be behind him, it's reasonable to expect he could be more productive offensively on a roster that is currently lacking consistent scoring options. He's under contract for 2026-27 and holds a player option for 2027-28.

  • Bulls' Nic Claxton: Heading to Chicago

The Nets traded Claxton (finger) and the No. 33 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to the Bulls and Timberwolves, respectively, in exchange for Julius Randle and the No. 28 overall pick in this year's draft, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Monday.

Claxton will head to Chicago after spending the first seven years of his career with the Nets. The big man appeared in 69 regular-season games (68 starts) in 2025-26, averaging 11.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 blocks and 0.7 steals in 27.8 minutes per contest. He missed the team's final five games with a sprained finger, though he's expected to be ready for training camp. Claxton is under contract through the 2027-28 campaign.

  • Knicks' Mohamed Diawara: Plans to re-sign with New York

Diawara agreed to a multi-year contract with the Knicks on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Charania reports that the deal is expected to be worth at least $10 million, though the contract details have not yet been disclosed. Diawara saw an inconsistent role during his rookie campaign, stepping up when injuries arose. Across 69 regular-season games (seven starts), the 21-year-old forward averaged 3.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per tilt.

  • Trae Young PG | WAS

Wizards' Trae Young: To sign four-year deal

Young (quadriceps) plans to sign a four-year, $212 million deal with the Wizards, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Young declined his $49 million player option and was initially going to test the waters in free agency. The Wizards were always viewed as the favorites to sign him, however, and it's clear that they value him extremely highly based on this offer. Young was limited to 15 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season due to injuries, posting averages of 17.9 points and 8.0 assists on 45.8 percent shooting from the field.

  • Aaron Wiggins SG | ATL

Hawks' Aaron Wiggins: Headed to Atlanta

The Hawks acquired Wiggins from the Thunder on Sunday in exchange for 2030 and 2032 second-round draft picks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The No. 55 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Wiggins has spent the first five seasons of his career in Oklahoma City. The 27-year-old showed signs of promise during his tenure in Oklahoma City, but the Thunder's bevy of talent often resulted in him seeing inconsistent playing time. During the 2025-26 campaign, Wiggins posted averages of 9.4 points, 3.1 assists, 1.7 assists, 1.5 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 21.8 minutes per contest over 65 regular-season appearances. Wiggins should have a chance at capturing a more sizable role in Atlanta, especially if the Hawks choose not to exercise Jonathan Kuminga's $24.3 million team option for the upcoming season.

  • CJ McCollum SG | ATL

Hawks' CJ McCollum: Agrees to extension with Atlanta

McCollum agreed to a one-year, $21 million contract extension with the Hawks on Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

McCollum will avoid free agency and remain with Atlanta after being acquired from the Wizards in January. Over 41 regular-season appearances (25 starts) with the Hawks last season, the veteran guard averaged 18.7 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor in 28.8 minutes per showing.

  • Jordan Goodwin SG | PHO

Suns' Jordan Goodwin: Intends to re-sign with Phoenix

Goodwin (calf) agreed to a three-year, $19 million deal with the Suns on Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Goodwin was claimed off waivers by Phoenix last July and made the regular-season roster before delivering a career-best year. Across 70 regular-season appearances (10 starts), the 27-year-old guard averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 37.0 percent from deep in 22.5 minutes per game. Goodwin missed the team's final three postseason games against Oklahoma City due to a left calf strain, though he'll likely be good to go by the time training camp rolls around. He receives added security with this new contract, which includes a player option for the third year.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Plans to re-sign with Phoenix

Gillespie intends to sign a four-year, $48 million contract with the Suns, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Saturday.

Gillespie latched on with Phoenix on a two-way deal in 2024-25 before signing a one-year pact with the club last July. Following a career-best year in 2025-26, the 26-year-old guard has earned a long-term deal. Across 80 regular-season outings last season, the sharpshooter averaged 12.7 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 three-pointers and 1.2 steals while shooting 40.2 percent from beyond the arc in 28.5 minutes per game.

  • Grizzlies' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Exercises player option

Caldwell-Pope (finger) exercised his $21.6 million player option for the 2026-27 campaign Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The veteran guard is set to return to Memphis after being acquired from Orlando in the Desmond Bane deal last June, though Caldwell-Pope could still be bought out. The 33-year-old missed the Grizzlies' final 29 regular-season games after undergoing surgery on his right pinky finger, finishing the season with averages of 8.4 points, 2.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 21.3 minutes per tilt across 51 regular-season appearances (14 starts).

  • Wizards' D'Angelo Russell: Picks up option

Russell picked up his $6 million team option for the 2026-27 season, Jake Fischer of BleacherReport.com reports.

This was an expected move for Russell, as his market value is pretty low right now after a forgettable season. Following his trade from the Mavericks, Russell did not make any appearances for the Wizards and spent his time away from the team because a buyout was expected. Despite this transaction, there's no guarantee Russell will be in Washington's plans for 2026-27.
