  • Nikola Jovic PF | MIA

Heat's Nikola Jovic: Scores 21 points for Serbia

Jovic recorded 21 points (9-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes during Serbia's 102-73 win over Iceland in Friday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.

Jovic continued his impressive qualifying run, as he's now averaging 25.0 points while shooting 65.1 percent from the field through three appearances. The 23-year-old is coming off a disappointing 2025-26 campaign in which he averaged 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting just 36.6 percent from the field across 47 regular-season games. His path to a larger role became more difficult after Miami acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis this offseason, but Jovic is entering the first season of his four-year extension and remains an intriguing developmental piece for the Heat.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Modest line in win

Jokic recorded six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals in 23 minutes during Serbia's 102-73 win over Iceland in Friday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.

Jokic attempted only seven shots but impacted the game in his usual fashion as a rebounder and facilitator. The 31-year-old averaged a triple-double for the second consecutive regular season in 2025-26, posting 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game while finishing second in MVP voting. Denver has reshaped the supporting cast around him this offseason, but Jokic remains the unquestioned centerpiece of the offense and should once again be among the first players selected in virtually every fantasy format in 2026-27.

  • Svi Mykhailiuk SG | UTA

Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Struggles with shot

Mykhailiuk recorded 13 points (3-17 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Ukraine's 82-76 win over Greece in Friday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.

The 29-year-old is coming off one of the best seasons of his NBA career, averaging 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 23.1 minutes across 50 regular-season appearances for Utah while shooting 40.8 percent from three-point range. His contract for 2026-27 became fully guaranteed this offseason, and his perimeter shooting should keep him in the mix for rotation minutes on a young Jazz roster. However, Mykhailiuk's production remains heavily dependent on three-point shooting.

  • Lakers' Sandro Mamukelashvili: Strong line for Georgia

Mamukelashvili recorded 17 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Georgia's 101-74 win over Montenegro in Friday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.

Mamukelashvili delivered an impressive all-around performance without committing a turnover, continuing a productive offseason ahead of his first campaign with the Lakers. The 27-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, averaging 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists during the regular season for Toronto before signing with Los Angeles in July. Walker Kessler is projected to handle most of the minutes at center, but Mamukelashvili's shooting and playmaking offer a different skill set and could earn him minutes at both frontcourt spots.

  • Goga Bitadze C | ORL

Magic's Goga Bitadze: Strong effort in win

Bitadze recorded 23 points (8-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes during Georgia's 101-74 win over Montenegro in Friday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.

The 27-year-old averaged 5.9 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 67.6 percent from the field during the 2025-26 regular season, but his path to playing time has become even more crowded following the Magic's offseason addition of Nikola Vucevic. With Vucevic and Wendell Carter both in the mix at center, Bitadze may struggle to see enough minutes to provide consistent fantasy value in 2026-27.

  • Knicks' Pacome Dadiet: Notches 13 points

Dadiet recorded 13 points (5-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes during Ivory Coast's 72-66 win over Egypt in Friday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.

The 21-year-old remains a developmental piece for New York after averaging just 4.7 minutes across 29 regular-season appearances in 2025-26. Dadiet showed some encouraging flashes during Summer League, but the Knicks remain deep on the wing with OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart occupying prominent roles. Dadiet will need to make significant strides during his third NBA season before becoming a consistent part of the rotation or a relevant fantasy option.

  • John Konchar SG | MIN

    John Konchar: Waived Saturday

The Timberwolves waived Konchar on Saturday.

The Timberwolves needed to make this move to clear a roster spot for Jonathan Kuminga. As a quality rebounding and defensive wing, Konchar should generate some interest on the free-agent market once he clears waivers.

  • John Konchar SG | MIN

Timberwolves' John Konchar: Sent to Minnesota

The Jazz traded Konchar and Cody Williams to the Timberwolves on Friday in exchange for Josh Green and cash considerations, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Konchar was traded from Memphis to Utah ahead of last season's trade deadline, finishing the campaign with averages of 4.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks in 19.9 minutes per tilt across 56 regular-season games (eight starts) between the two clubs. According to Charania, the Timberwolves are expected to waive-and-stretch Konchar.

  • Cody Williams SF | MIN

Timberwolves' Cody Williams: Headed to Minnesota

The Jazz traded Williams and John Konchar to the Timberwolves on Friday in exchange for Josh Green and cash considerations, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Williams will get a fresh start in Minnesota after taking a bit of a leap in his sophomore season. The 21-year-old wing played in 67 regular-season games (41 starts) last season, averaging 8.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.8 steals while shooting 46.8 percent from the field in 24.3 minutes per showing. However, the Colorado product faces plenty of competition for minutes in Minnesota and isn't guaranteed meaningful burn.

  • Josh Green SF | UTA

Jazz's Josh Green: Traded to Utah

The Timberwolves traded Green and cash considerations to the Jazz on Friday in exchange for Cody Williams and John Konchar, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

After being traded from Charlotte to Minnesota as part of the LaMelo Ball trade in June, Green is now set to begin the season with the Jazz. The 25-year-old swingman appeared in 58 regular-season games for the Hornets in 2025-26, averaging 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 steals in 15.7 minutes per contest. He figures to provide wing depth for Utah and will likely compete with Brice Sensabaugh, Josh Okogie and Svi Mykhailiuk for playing time.
