Nickeil Alexander-Walker PG | ATL
Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Goes for 14 in preseason opener
Alexander-Walker supplied 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and one steal across 16 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Alexander-Walker drew the start and was productive during his abbreviated stint on the hardwood, reaching 14 points on only nine field-goal attempts. The 28-year-old is coming off a breakout 2025-26 campaign in which he averaged 20.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, and he should remain an important piece of Atlanta's backcourt in 2026-27, even if his minutes are limited in preseason.

Corey Kispert SF | ATL
Hawks' Corey Kispert: Scores 19 points in preseason loss
Kispert contributed 19 points (7-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 20 minutes off the bench in Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Kispert made the most of his 20 minutes off the bench, led Atlanta in scoring, and also set a team high with four threes. The sharpshooter made the most of his limited workload, needing only 11 field-goal attempts to produce 19 points. Kispert's ability to stretch the floor should keep him firmly in Atlanta's rotation, though his fantasy value will depend on whether he can provide enough production outside of scoring and three-pointers.

Ron Holland PF | DET
Pistons' Ronald Holland: Drops 14 points in preseason opener
Holland registered 14 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-8 FT), four rebounds, one assist, five steals and two blocks in 24 minutes during Monday's 109-107 preseason win over the Suns.
Holland made his presence felt all over the court Monday night, leading Detroit in scoring while accounting for two of the team's seven swats and racking up a team-high five steals. This is a promising start to the preseason for the 21-year-old, who is eyeing a key role heading into the 2026-27 season following the offseason departures of Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart.

Cameron Boozer PF | MEM
Grizzlies' Cameron Boozer: Scores 11 points with four assists
Boozer tallied 11 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals over 18 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
Boozer had his minutes monitored in Memphis' first exhibition game, but he led his team in shot attempts and did a nice job playmaking out of the post. Boozer will be a fixture in Memphis' offense and should give AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson some serious competition for the Rookie of the Year award.

Micah Peavy SF | MEM
Grizzlies' Micah Peavy: Doesn't play Monday
Peavy (ankle) did not see the floor in Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks.
Peavy turned his ankle in late September and is still on the mend. The severity of the injury is unclear, though his next chance to suit up in the preseason will come Wednesday against Orlando.
-
Karim Lopez PF | MEM
Grizzlies' Karim Lopez: Makes preseason debut
Lopez (hamstring) tallied two points (1-2 FG), one rebound, two steals and one block in eight minutes during Monday's 132-123 preseason win over Atlanta.
Lopez has managed to recover from a hamstring injury that plagued him during Summer League and came off the bench in the Grizzlies' preseason opener. The 19-year-old rookie is looking to carve out a role in the rotation in the frontcourt and will battle throughout the preseason with the likes of GG Jackson, Jaylen Wells and Cam Spencer for playing time.
-
Isaiah Stewart PF | MEM
Grizzlies' Isaiah Stewart: Exits preseason win early
Stewart exited Monday's 132-123 preseason win over the Hawks in the first quarter and did not return due to a left ankle injury, finishing with one rebound in two minutes.
Stewart landed on an opposing player's foot and took a hard fall before limping back to the locker room. He was eventually deemed doubtful to return and never checked back in. The big man's next opportunity to play in the preseason will come Wednesday versus Orlando.
-
Devin Booker SG | PHO
Suns' Devin Booker: Nets 13 points in 16 minutes
Booker recorded 13 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 16 minutes in Monday's 109-107 preseason loss to the Pistons.
Booker was limited to the first half of play in the Suns' first preseason game, but he looked good in his limited minutes and finished with a plus-18 differential. He did a nice job running the offense and was aggressive with his shot selection, so he looks all set up for another big season as the main man in Phoenix.
-
Keshon Gilbert PG | ATL
Hawks' Keshon Gilbert: Logs 15 minutes in preseason loss
Gilbert (hip) posted two points (1-3 FG), two assists, one rebound and one steal across 15 minutes in Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
Gilbert ended the Las Vegas Summer League on the inactive list with a hip issue, though he returned to action in the Hawks' preseason opener. The 23-year-old is signed to a two-way pact and figures to spend the majority of his time with Atlanta's G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks.
-
Asa Newell PF | ATL
Hawks' Asa Newell: Pops for double-double
Newell finished with 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 22 minutes during Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to Memphis.
Newell put together an impressive showing off the bench, as he shot the basketball with efficiency and crashed the glass for a team-high 12 rebounds. The Georgia product is in the mix for an increased role heading into the 2026-27 campaign, and Monday's performance will certainly help his case.
