Jaxson Hayes C | UTA
Jazz's Jaxson Hayes: Efficient in start
Hayes contributed 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 FT) and two rebounds across 15 minutes in Monday's 119-109 preseason win over the Spurs.
Hayes appears to be the favorite to start for the Jazz this season while Jusuf Nurkic (foot) is sidelined. That said, Utah could mix and match based on matchups and deploy Ace Bailey in the first unit at times.

Pelle Larsson SF | MIA
Heat's Pelle Larsson: Doubtful for Wednesday
Larsson (illness) is doubtful for Wednesday's preseason game against the Nets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Although he's trending in the right direction, Larsson hinted that he's going to take things slow as he's still dealing with some lingering headaches. Assuming he sits Wednesday, he will have the opportunity to play in one more exhibition Friday.

Lauri Markkanen PF | UTA
Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Productive in preseason win
Markkanen contributed 11 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two assists, two steals and one rebound across 19 minutes in Monday's 119-109 preseason win over the Spurs.
Markkanen, who's set to be a primary scoring option for Utah this year, overcame a neck injury to suit up for this exhibition. Fantasy managers should feel more comfortable drafting the star forward at his ADP this fall now that he's healthy.

Julian Champagnie SF | SA
Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Battling for starting role
Champagnie supplied 14 points (5-13 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one steal and one block over 26 minutes in Monday's 119-109 preseason loss to Utah.
The sharpshooter appears to be competing with Dylan Harper for the Spurs' final starting spot to begin the season. That said, Tobias Harris (calf) should pose another threat to playing time for Champagnie once he's healthy.

Egor Demin SG | BKN
Nets' Egor Demin: Struggles with shot
Demin recorded four points (2-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt), three assists and one steal across 22 minutes in Monday's 131-122 preseason victory over Washington.
Demin struggled to find his shooting rhythm, missing all five of his attempts from beyond the arc while finishing with zero rebounds. The young guard nevertheless drew another start and committed just one turnover while handling playmaking responsibilities. His shooting consistency remains an area to monitor as Brooklyn evaluates its backcourt rotation ahead of the regular season.

Day'Ron Sharpe C | BKN
Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Posts three steals in win
Sharpe (shoulder) registered four points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), three assists, three steals, two rebounds and one block across 21 minutes in Monday's 131-122 preseason victory over Washington.
Sharpe returned to the starting lineup after missing Brooklyn's previous preseason contest with a shoulder injury. Although his scoring and rebounding production were limited, the center made an impact defensively with three steals and a block while also distributing three assists. His ability to handle a 21-minute workload is encouraging as the Nets prepare for the regular season.

Noah Clowney PF | BKN
Nets' Noah Clowney: Drains four triples in win
Clowney finished with 15 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes off the bench in Monday's 131-122 preseason win over Washington.
Clowney provided an offensive spark for Brooklyn, converting four of his six three-point attempts while also contributing as a facilitator. The 22-year-old forward committed zero turnovers and was one of five Nets players to score at least 15 points. His perimeter shooting should help his case for a meaningful role in Brooklyn's frontcourt rotation, though the team has several options competing for minutes.
-
Nolan Traore PG | BKN
Nets' Nolan Traore: Notches 17 points off bench
Traore recorded 17 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two assists and one rebound across 20 minutes off the bench in Monday's 131-122 preseason victory over Washington.
Traore delivered an efficient scoring performance, connecting on six of his eight field-goal attempts while finishing as Brooklyn's second-leading scorer. The young guard also knocked down both of his free-throw attempts plus one, though he committed three turnovers against just two assists. With several guards competing for playing time, Traore will need to continue making the most of his opportunities to earn a consistent role.
-
Alex Sarr C | WAS
Wizards' Alex Sarr: Struggles to score
Sarr finished with six points (3-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and nine rebounds across 23 minutes in Monday's 131-122 preseason loss to the Nets.
Without Anthony Davis (rest) drawing attention, Sarr struggled to score Monday. The third-year big man is set to play for the most talented Wizards team of his young career in 2026-27, which also features Trae Young at point guard.

RayJ Dennis PG | ATL
Hawks' RayJ Dennis: Strong showing off bench
Dennis recorded 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven assists, four rebounds and three steals across 24 minutes off the bench in Monday's 113-110 preseason win over Oklahoma City.
Dennis provided a spark for Atlanta's second unit, tying Kingston Flemings for the team lead in assists while pacing the Hawks with three steals. The guard also shot efficiently inside the arc, though he struggled from three-point range. His well-rounded performance should help his case for a roster spot or a developmental role, but his regular-season opportunities remain uncertain.
