  • Naz Reid PF | CHA

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Steady ways continue Thursday

Reid posted nine points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 24 minutes during Thursday's 131-122 win over the Cavaliers.

Despite being stuck in a reserve role behind Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert for most of the season, Reid has managed to keep up a strong level of production across the board. Reid has averaged 15.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 blocks, 0.7 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in 27.1 minutes per contest in his last 14 games.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Upgraded to probable

Embiid (knee) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game against Orlando.

Embiid was initially labeled as questionable. He's been in really good form lately, posting averages of 28.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 blocks over his last three games. Although he's expected to play Friday, it's worth noting the 76ers have a back-to-back set coming up Sunday and Monday.

  • Jay Huff C | IND

Pacers' Jay Huff: Swats three shots vs. Hornets

Huff totaled 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds and three blocks in 24 minutes during Thursday's 114-112 victory over the Hornets.

Huff has started the past two games after Micah Potter temporarily filled that spot in the first two games of the new year. The 28-year-old big man was perfect from the field on four attempts and added three blocks on the defensive end. Huff now leads the league with eight games this season of at least three blocks and two triples.

  • Anthony Davis PF | WAS

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Fails to return

Davis (hand) didn't return to Thursday's game against the Jazz. He finished the night with 21 points (10-20 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 35 minutes.

The severity of Davis' injury is not yet known after he checked out with 2:08 remaining in the fourth quarter in obvious pain. He can be considered day-to-day until the team has more information to share. Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin would be in line for more playing time if Davis is unable to go Saturday in Chicago.

  • Anthony Davis PF | WAS

Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Exits to locker room

Davis went to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Thursday's game against the Jazz with an apparent left hand injury, Noah Weber of TheSmokingCuban.com reports.

Davis looked to be in pain down the stretch of the fourth quarter, resulting in a timeout by the Mavs. The big man was then spotted making his way to the locker room. It's unclear if Davis will be able to return for the final few minutes of play.

  • Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: CHI-MIA game postponed

The Bulls and Heat will not play Thursday due to condensation on the court, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.

The Bulls share an arena with the Chicago Blackhawks, and there was an issue with the ice underneath the court melting and causing unsafe conditions. Thursday's game will be rescheduled for a later date.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIL

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Headed to bench

Ware will come off the bench for Thursday's game in Chicago.

Tyler Herro is returning to the starting lineup Thursday, which will shift Ware back to the second unit. As a reserve this season, Ware has compiled averages of 9.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest.

  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Ruled out for Thursday

Nurkic (toe) won't suit up for Thursday's game versus the Mavericks.

Nurkic is getting a maintenance day on the second leg of a back-to-back set, but he should be able to get back out there for Saturday's game against the Hornets. With Nurkic unavailable Thursday evening, expect more minutes for Kyle Filipowski and Kevin Love.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Not listed on injury report

Okongwu (illness) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's game in Denver.

Okongwu missed Wednesday's win over the Pelicans with an illness, but he'll get back out there Friday night, which should shift Mouhamed Gueye back to the second unit. Asa Newell could drop from the rotation entirely with Okongwu active.

  • Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Out again Friday

Hartenstein (soleus) will remain on the sidelines for Friday's game in Memphis, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

The Thunder rarely offer timetables on injured players, but Friday will mark Hartenstein's seventh straight game on the inactive list, and it's not a great sign that he continues to get ruled out 24 hours in advance of tipoff. With Chet Holmgren (shin) also set to skip Friday's game, Jalen Williams could be asked to spend more time at center, which could open up some more minutes for Aaron Wiggins and Kenrich Williams.
