Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Vintage performance in win

Nikola Jokic closed Saturday's 141-135 overtime victory over New Orleans with 35 points (12-23 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 15 rebounds, 10 assists, three blocks and two steals over 44 minutes.Jokic turned things around after a slow start to the season, at least by his lofty standards, recording his first triple-double of the campaign. For good measure, he added four blocks, an unexpected yet welcome surprise for fantasy managers. There isn't much left to say when it comes to what Jokic can do on a basketball court. Those who invested in him with the first or second pick in drafts should feel at ease with their decision.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Modest performance in loss

Nikola Jokic contributed 13 points (5-19 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 96-84 loss to the Thunder.Jokic started the season with a mediocre performance, at least by his lofty standards. He still managed to chip in across all major categories, providing managers with a sense of reassurance. Up against the might of the Thunder, it's not a total surprise to see Jokic struggling, much like Victor Wembanyama did on opening night. Cristicism aside, another elite fantasy season seems inevitable, likely ending with a top-three finish in all formats.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: To sign extension next offseason

Nikola Jokic reiterated Monday that he intends to sign a new contract with the Denver Nuggets next offseason, Brendan Vogt of TheDNVR.com reports."I'm going to sign next year, if they want me," Jokic said, adding that his decision to hold off on an extension this summer was purely business. The three-time MVP passed on a four-year extension worth $278 million and can become eligible for a five-year deal worth approximately $360 million next summer. Jokic has repeatedly expressed his desire to spend the remainder of his career in Denver, so his decision to delay a new deal appears financially motivated rather than an indication that he's considering leaving the Nuggets.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Modest line in win
