Butler (rest) won't play in the Kings' season finale Wednesday against the Rockets, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Butler will end the season having played in only 17 games and posting averages of 3.7 points and 1.3 rebounds. At age 36, Butler may considering hanging it up this summer, though he does hold a $1.5 million player option to return to the Kings next season. If Butler opts against retirement, it's possible he could decline the option and look to join a contending organization.
