Hamilton was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports.
Hamilton had been fairly effective for the first three months of the season, but his ERA ballooned to 6.10 across 10.1 innings in July. He could contribute in the majors again in 2025, though he'll likely be limited to low leverage given New York's stacked bullpen.
