Stanton went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Red Sox in the AL Wild Card Game.
Stanton's solo shot with one out in the ninth inning brought Tuesday's game within four runs, but the next two Yankees batters were retired to end the team's season. The 31-year-old ranked second on the team with 35 home runs during the 2021 campaign, and he slashed .273/.354/.516 with 97 RBI and 64 runs across 139 games.
